Instructions for Oral Presentations and Posters Presentations

Oral Presentations

  • Presentations are 12 minutes long, with 3 minutes for Q&A. As a courtesy to others, be assured to constrict your presentation to the time determined.
  • Please arrive at the special meeting room 10-15 minutes prior to the planned session to load your presentation on the computer.
  • PowerPoint presentations should be formatted on a flash drive and brought with you to the conference.
  • Presentations can be delivered in any of three languages: English, Portuguese, or Spanish.
  • All presenters are requested to provide a CV or biosketch.

Poster presentations

  • Poster presentation materials must fit within a poster board display area of 122 cm tall x 244 cm wide (48 x 96 inches).
  • Poster font should be san serif, such as: Arial, Calibri, Helvetica, Tahoma, Verdana, etc., and should be easily read from a 1.2m distance (4ft ).
  • Each poster board will be assigned a number that will correspond with the poster presentation.
  • Thumbtacks will be available onsite for mounting the display.
  • Materials should be posted from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on the day of the scheduled presentation; posters left overnight will be removed and discarded.
  • Authors should be available during assigned poster sessions times in order to answer questions
  • All presenters are requested to provide a CV or biosketch.
